Ilie Dumitrescu, club legend and 34th coach of our team, was born in Bucharest. As a footballer he won four championship titles, three Romanian Cups, a Romanian Supercup and the title of Romania's top scorer in the 1992-1993 season.

Costica Toma, one of the club's best goalkeepers, was born.

1920
Ilie Savu, one of the club's best goalkeepers, was born. After retiring, he became the team's fifth coach in the history. The late Ilie Savu was the first to manage all the important positions in a club's organisational chart: player - coach - president.
