Steaua reaches the 1000th win in the Romanian first league, after 2-0 (0-0) against Dacia Mioveni.

The italian referee Domenico Messina is the first foreigner to lead a match of Steaua in Liga 1. It happened in a 2-1 win against Rapid, in the 2002-2003 season.

Steaua achieves the biggest win against arch-rivals Dinamo, 5-0. The goals were scored by Dănciulescu 19 and 65, Rotariu 35, Șerban 57, Ciocoiu 87.

Steaua cannot be stopped and places the 18th title in the Trophies Room, after a 1-1 draw against Sportul Studențesc, one round before the end of the season. In the 1995-1996 season, Steaua achieved a triple: Title, Cup, Supercup, while Ion Vlădoiu became the Top Scorer.

Ion Vlădoiu brought the 11th Top Scorer trophy for Steaua, in a season where he scored 25 goals. Vladoiu scored a goal in the 4-0 win against Universitatea Cluj.

Sabin Ilie, Bogdan Bucur and Costel Gâlcă scored for the win in the Romanian Cup final, against Gloria Bistrita, 3-1.

Steaua dominated the league and won the 16th championship with 13 points ahead. The trophy was handed out at the last home game, against Sportul Studențesc, 3-1.

Gavril Pele Balint got the 9th Top Scorer trophy in the history of Steaua, with 19 goals. Balint managed a hat-trick in the match against Farul Constanţa (5-3).

Steaua lost 0-2 against Benfica in Lisbon (0-0 in Bucharest) and missed the chance to qualify in a new final of the European Champions Cup.

Steaua reached the 500th win in the first league, 3-2 (1-1) away against Jiul Petroșani.

Ghencea stadium was inaugurated in a friendly game against OFK Belgrade, score 2-2. Gheorghe Tataru was the first player to score on the new arena. The Ghencea Stadium was the first in Romania built exclusively for football.

Marius Lăcătuş, the most awarded Romanian player of all time, was born in Brașov. As a player, he won the European Champions Cup, the UEFA Super Cup, 10 championship titles and seven Romanian Cups. He was the 30th coach of the team.

Helmut Duckadam was born in Șemlac. He entered the Guinness World Book of Records for defending 4 penalty shots in the UEFA Champions League final between Steaua and FC Barcelona, on May 7th 1986.

Steaua had 11 players on the field in the friendly match Yugoslavia - Romania, score 0-1 (Cacoveanu '83), absolute record in Romanian football. Voinescu (Toma) - V.Zavoda II, Apolzan, Szökö, Onisie, Bone, Cacoveanu, Fr.Zavoda I, Alecsandrescu, Georgescu, Tătaru (G.Constantin). Georgescu and Szökö were the only footballers to play for other clubs.

Nicolae Tataru became the first player in the history of the club to score four goals in a match, against Avântul Reghin, 9-1 (6-0), in the Romanian first division.

Brothers Anton and Dumitru Munteanu played for the first time in an official match in the red and blue colors, being the first pair of twins to do that in the history of our club. It happened in the game with Avântul Reghin, score 9-1 (6-0).

Florea Voinea, a very good striker of the team in the late 1960s and early 1970s, was born.

Ion Voinescu, considered to be the greatest goalkeeper in the history of the Romanian football, was born.

Tiberiu Bone, a member of the club's first golden generation, was born.

Florian Marinescu, the player who scored the first goal of the team in an official match, CFR Timisoara - AS Armata, 7-1, was born.
