CCA played for the first time in European competitions, in a match against Borussia Dortmund (2-4). The team's goalkeeper that game was Titus Boroș, a member of the club's volleyball team, as well as of the national team, because both goalkeepers, Voinescu and Toma, were injured.

CCA celebrated the fourth Champion title. One game before the end of the season, the players already received their medals, after a 6-0 win against Locomotiva Timișoara. It was the first title won by a coach who was not a team player, Ștefan Dobay.

Ion Alcsandrescu scored three goals in the match against Progresul Oradea, score 5-0, and became the first footballer in the history of the club to win the First League Top Scorer title. Alecsandrescu scored 18 goals in the 1956 season.

Nicolae Tataru became the first player in the history of the club to score four goals in a match of the Romanian Cup, against Știința Cluj, 5-1 (0-0).

CCA won the third Champion title, after a 3-1 home win against Progresul Oradea.

CCA players celebrated winning the second title of champion.

CCA won the first title in history, after a 0-0 at home, against Jiul Petroșani. Because the champions was decided at the end of that match, the players only received a diploma on the pitch. Medals were awarded another day. The first Champions title of the red and blues was won thanks to the goal difference against Dinamo. At that time, goal difference was not calculated by the difference between the number of goals scored and the goals received, but by dividing the scored goals into those received. CCA had a 1.79 goal difference, compared to 2.26 for Dinamo.

Four days after winning the champions title, CCA manages the treble, winning the Romanian Cup, 3-1 against Flacăra Mediaș.

Gheorghe Popescu became the first coach to win the title with CCA. Also, Popescu still is the youngest coach to win the title.

The red and blues won their second Romanian Cup after defeating Flamura Roşie Arad 3-1 (1-0). The goales were scored by Apolzan (44p), Roman (72) and Moldoveanu (90).

Florea Fătu scored the first goal from the penalty in the history of the team, in the 3-4 loss against CSM Mediaş.

Dumitru Dumitriu III, a former footballer and 22nd coach of the team, was born in București. As a player, he won three Romanian Cups, while as coach he won four champion titles, two Romanian Cups and a Romanian Supercup.

Gavril Raksi, an important defender of our team in the mid-1960s, was born.

Ştefan Onisie, footballer and later the eighth club coach, was born. As a player, he won two champion title and three Romanian Cups, while as a coach he won three titles and three Romanian Cups.

Valentin Stănescu, the 11th coach of the team, was born in Bucharest. Stănescu is the only Romanian coach to win three championship titles with three different teams: Rapid, Universitatea Craiova and Dinamo.
