Harlem Gnohéré became the first foreign player in the history of the club to win the title of Top Scorer of Romania. Gnohéré scored a goal in the match against Astra (1-0) and managed a total of 15 goals, equal to George Ţucudean (CFR Cluj). Harlem Gnohéré is the fourth foreign player to win the Top Scorer Title after Wesley Lopes (SC Vaslui, 2011-2012), Gregory Tade (CFR Cluj, 2014-2015) and Azdren Llullaku (Gaz Metan, 2016-2017).

Steaua won the 26th champion title, at the end of the match in Iasi, 0-0. The staff and the players received the champions jerseys and the much-coveted trophy in Constantin Gâlcă's first year as a senior team coach. That season, Steaua also won the Romanian Cup and the League Cup.

Steaua won the Romanian Cup after 3-0 against Universitatea Cluj. The goals were scored by Adrian Popa (2) and Rusescu, at the end of an exceptional season with Costel Gâlcă on the bench.

Steaua won the only domestic competition that it had missed before: the League Cup. In the final, Steaua defeated Pandurii Târgu Jiu 3-0, thanks to the goals of Iancu, Chipciu and Ţucudean.

Steaua celebrated the 25th title at the end of the match against Otelul Galati, 2-2.

Raul Rusescu scored a goal in the match against FC Braşov, 4-0, and became the 12th footballer of Steaua to win the title of Romania's top-scorer. Rusescu scored 21 goals that season.

After the longest absence in the final, Steaua could not miss the chance, especially since they met arch-rivals Dinamo. It was 2-1 for Steaua in a match that had Dica as scorer and hero. On the other hand, Stefan Barboianu scored an own goal and, after 12 years, Steaua won a new Cup.

Claudiu Răducanu became the Top Scorer of the Romanian League with 21 goals. Răducanu scored a double for the 13th title in the history of the club in the match against Sportul Studențesc.

Steaua won the new title. Rapid had a match in Craiova, Steaua at home, against Gloria Bistrita. If Universitatea lost, Rapid would became champion, and the Craiova based tea would qualify for to the Cup Winners Cup preliminary rounds. Steaua won 5-2 and Rapid only managed a 2-2. In Ghencea, the players received the trophy and the supporters broke into the turf, where they celebrated with footballers and coach Mihai Stoichiţă. With this victory, Steaua equaled the series of six consecutive titles, a performance achieved only by Chinezul Timișoara between 1921 and 1927.

Steaua returned to Spain, this time on the New Camp - the stadium of the team he overcame in 1986 - in an attempt to win the trophy again. Unfortunately, Steaua was unable to cope with an invincible AC Milan and the "gun machine" van Basten-Ruud Gulit. The score was 0-4.

Steaua becomes the first Romanian team to win the European Champions Cup after 2-0 against FC Barcelona. In the final, Helmut Duckadam defended four consecutive penalties, a record that still stands.

Helmut Duckadam became the first and only goakeeper in the history of our club to score in an official match. It happened in the quarter-final of the Romanian Cup, when the Sevilla hero scored from the penalty spot in the 32nd minute of the match against Progresul Viitorul București.

Nicolae Dica, former player and the 42nd coach in our team's history, was born. As a Steaua player, he won two titles, a Cup and a Supercup of Romania, and in 2006 he was named "Player of the Year".

Gheorghe Tătaru scored a goal in the 6-0 win against CFR Cluj and became Top Scorer with 15 goals, the same as two other players: Florea Dumitrache (Dinamo) and Constantin Moldoveanu (Poli Iaşi).

Miodrag Belodedici, the most awarded Romanian footballer of all time, was born in Socol. Belodedici played in the golden age of Steaua, where he won the European Champions Cup, the European Supercup, six champion titles, three Romanian Cups and the Romanian Supercup. After fleeing to Yugoslavia in 1988, he played for Red Star Belgrade, where he won the European Champions Cup, the Intercontinental Cup, three champion titles of Yugoslavia and a Yugoslavian Cup.

Victor Piţurcă, a former striker of the team and 21st coach of the team, was born in Orodel. As a player, he won the European Champions Cup, the UEFA Supercup, five champion titles and four Romanian Cups. As a coach, he won a title and a Romanian Cup.

Steaua met in a friendly match win, 5-3 (3-1), played on the 23 August stadium, the English team of Luton Town. Scorers: Alecsandrescu, G.Constantin (2), Aherne (owngoal), F.Zavoda I.

Mihai Stoichiţă, the 23rd coach of the team, was born in Bucharest. As a head coach, he won a title and the Romanian Supercup.

CCA managed the first win against rivals Dinamo, 2-1. The goals were scored by Francisc Zavoda and Nicolae Roman.

Anghel Iordanescu, the top-scorer in the history of the club and the eighteenth coach of the team, was born in Iași. As a player, he won the European Champions Cup, two champion titles and four Romanian Cups. As a coach, he won the UEF Supercup, four champion titles and two Romanian Cups.

The Club changes its name from the Central Army Sports Association to the Central Army Sports Club (CSCA).

Gheorghe Tataru, a former striker of the team in the 70's, who was the first player to score on Steaua stadium, was born this day.

Iosif Vigu, a highly esteemed midfielder from the 1970s team, was born.

Gheorghe Lazareanu, the first goalkeeper of our club to play in an official match, was born.
